A new version of 3CX Phone System is available in beta and what a version! 3CX Phone System v9 packs a punch with video support on 3CXphone, SLA functionality and the ability to provision 3CX Assistant and 3CXphone network-wide. 3CX Phone System users can now monitor remote PBX’s with 3CX Assistant and transfer calls between them. The call forwarding interface has been overhauled, and we introduced the concept of statuses to make it more intuitive for users to configure their away or out of office settings. 3CX Assistant allows you to quickly launch calls by double clicking on an extension or a missed call. It also integrates with Outlook to allow you to quickly dial a number in your contact list
This new 3CX Assistant build has improved updating functionality. In addition, we have improved the TAPI driver such that it supports other applications besides Microsoft Outlook. Any TAPI aware CRM package can now launch calls, and if it supports ‘inbound TAPI’, a pop up will show with a customer record, based on the incoming Caller ID. Some of this functionality might require a reinstall (as it involves the updater), but in many cases you can deploy the Assistant update via the server. (The first time the Assistant will be updated, 2 updates will occur subsequently).
