3CX PhoneSystem Updated License Activation Module

As part of our routine Security Audit checks, we have updated the client and server components of the 3CX PhoneSystem license activation procedure. This means that activating your 3CX PhoneSystem requires the new version of the license activation module. This has been integrated inside the latest build (V 7.1.6589) which can be downloaded here: http://www.3cx.com/downloads/3CXPhoneSystem71.exe Please note that activation with earlier versions is no longer possible. Systems that need to be upgraded will show this message “License: 62″ when attempting to activate. Already-running 3CX PhoneSystem installations will continue to run.

3CX Phone System V7.1 RC3 – and this one should go ‘gold’ early next week! We have also updated the 3CX Assistant ( build history ), and gave it a calmer interface. Note that to use the tunnel, you need to update to the latest 3CX Voip Phone too. 3CX Voip Client will not work in tunnel mode with 3CX Phone System v7.1 Fixes and additions: v7.1.6386.0 Fixed: Caller ID is displayed when doing an attended tranfers (SNOM only) Fixed: Improved validation when creating Voip Providers Fixed: Time and date filtering in the call reporter Fixed: Rotation of tunnel log could cause a crash on Windows Server 2008 Fixed: Patton 4554 reject from mobile now disconnects and does not retry Fixed: Deleting of voice mails Fixed: Improperly configured FXO gateway which does not send BYE would cause calls to voice mail to remain as stuck calls.

We are pleased to announce 3CX Phone System 7.1 RC2 – it is pretty much good to go. In this build we have made a big improvement to the Tunnel service. If UDP is available, then this will be used, otherwise TCP will be used.

3CX Phone System v7.1 is nearing release – we have ironed out pretty much all remaining issues and we recommend this build. Here is the change log: Added: Japanese Language files Added: Gateway for the Linksys 3102 gateway with tone sets added for various countries Added: New startup page for the Call Reporter Added: Two additional reports – Call Statistics and Agent Statistics Added: Call Assistant and Call History service to services page Added: Better ring group validation Added: Adjusted validation to allow entry of SKYPE addresses Added: Management console will logout after 10 minutes of inactivity Fixed: Transfers and Attended transfers to extensions on the same PBX or to extensions on the remote PBX through bridges and tunneled connections. 7.1 is now available and features some significant enhancements. Download 3CX Phone System  here and 3CX Assistant  here The top 3 features are: 3CX Assistant – This utility is installed on the users desktop and allows users complete call control, as well as extensive presence and queue information. 3CX assistant works in tandem with a software or hardware IP phone, or even an analog phone (using ATA or FXS Gateway ) and gives users the ability to pick up, divert, transfer and park calls with a mouse click. Drag and drop is also supported. Inbuilt reporter – the separate call reporting utility has been replaced by an inbuilt call reporter with extensive reports, including new Call Queueing reports CDR service – A separate service can now output CDR (Call Data Records) of calls in real time. And we actually managed to put some nice new features in it.  We now support IIS on XP, you can dial a number from your voice mail menu and we added Secure SIP (Beta) Note: IIS is now the recommended web server – its faster and more stable then Cassini Added: IIS support for Windows XP PRO. XP users no longer have to use Cassini Added: Ability to make external calls out of the personal voice mail menu Added: Systems prompts page redesign Added: Improved error messages Added: If using IIS all web applications reside on a single port Added: Option to send ‘Keep Alives’ to a VoIP provider so that firewall will keep port mapping alive.
